This is beneficial for transferring diagnostic tools, BIOS updates, Firmware updates or even loading new service packs or security patches. Using virtual media functionality, it is possible to avoid costly on-site interventions to upgrade software, as everything can be managed centrally.

- Automatic Server Recovery The Acer Remote Management Card monitors your server to ensure it is operating, using a polling mechanism. In the event, that the ARMC detects that the Server is not operating, it will automatically reset the server, in order to recover services and minimize downtime. If we consider this in the context of Mikes situation described above, this means that the interruption to services can be minimized, whilst he diagnoses and develops a plan to recover normal application services.
