Full HD 1080 video recorded to HDD
The stylishly compact HG10 records High Definition (HD) movies straight to Hard Disk Drive (HDD). Storing more memories in Full HD 1080 quality (AVCHD), you’ll never run out of recording space.

Canon Full HD CMOS
Let HD movies bring memories to life. The HG10 uses a Canon Full HD CMOS video sensor, with advanced noise reduction technology and an RGB Primary Colour Filter - for sharp, noise-free video and vivid colours.

Canon HD Video Lens
Canon camcorders inherit the expertise of the world’s biggest maker of broadcast lenses. Incorporating a Super Range Optical Image Stabilizer, the HG10’s 10x optical zoom lens is specifically designed for HD - for unrivalled image quality.

Instant AF
Instant AF helps ensure movies and photos are always in focus. By using two sensors - one for speed, one for absolute accuracy - Instant AF makes shooting HD video easier and keeps digital photos free from blur. The Focus Assist function aids manual focusing.

15 hours of video, hundreds of photos
The extra capacity of an HDD lets you record for longer: store up to 15 hrs of HD video. The HG10 is also a fully-featured digital camera - 3.1MP photos are saved to MiniSD card.

DIGIC DV II for HD
DIGIC DV II is the HG10’s brain. Specifically designed by Canon for HD, it can shoot movies and still images at the same time. Video and photos are processed independently, ensuring that both appear in superb colour.

Intuitive controls
An intuitive Navigation Control Dial provides quick and easy access to key functions. Playing back video is effortless: scroll through a list of recordings or select a scene from the thumbnail menu to instantly review movies on the 2.7" Multiangle Vivid LCD screen.

Quick Start and extended battery life
At the push of a button, Quick Start powers up the camcorder from Standby mode almost instantly. The HG10’s battery provides over an hour of recording on a single charge.

All the connections you need
Capture enhanced audio with an external microphone and monitor sound recording more closely via the headphone jack; an Advanced Accessory shoe lets you attach a range of other peripherals. When you’ve finished recording, connect to a TV using HDMI or a PC via USB. PictBridge makes it easy to print photos.

Software
A supplied Corel Application Disc provides software for easy editing and management of AVCHD movies on a PC.
