The newest Epson Multi-purpose Intelligent Projector – EB-1400Wi plays an active role in the office through carious meeting scenarios including presentations, idea generation, and instant discussion. The newly installed Annotation feature and bundles control pad is a convenient addition to its current projection function. This is a new digitized solution from Epson to the existing role of copyboards and flip charts for more efficient and productive meetings.
100” Big Screen with Ultra Short Projection Distance
EB-1400Wi is using 0.59 inches 3LCD panel with WXGA (1,280 x 800) resolution and 2,600 lm brightness. The projected screen size can be changed freely according to the meeting room size up to a 100 inch maximum with only 60 cm projection distance, allowing information to be shared on big screen. Even when standing directly in front of the screen, the light rarely reached the face making it easier on the eyes. This makes standing in front of the screen far more pleasant.
Using the new added Split Screen function allows images from 2 input sources to be projected and used interactive function simultaneously. The maximum 100 inch screen size is large enough to clearly project two images. This is a very convenient feature for things like video conference.
PC Mouse and Annotation Functionality
Connecting the EB-1400Wi to a PC via USB cable makes it possible to operate the PC mouse using the included interactive pen. After installing Easy Interactive Tool ver.2.01 in PC, users can write and draw on the PC screen image by the interactive pen, and save as JPG, BMP, PNG or PDF file in PC. When used with Microsoft Office, users can handwrite comments and diagrams directly into the document then save it in the original file format. After connecting the projector to a PC, there is an icon and user can switch the mode to “PC mouse” or “PC Free Annotation” easily by clicking this icon.
The included interactive pen enables annotation on projected images from a variety of input sources. Images and files in smart devices can also be transferred to EB-1400Wi by Epson iProjection application and adding annotation on the image. This has many practical business applications including document revision and adding handwritten signatures. Two interactive pens are supported simultaneously.
Connecting the PC and EB-1400Wi wirelessly using the included EasyMP Network Projection 2.81 application allows not only projection, but mouse operation as well.
Using the included EasyMP Network Projection 2.81 application allows projection of a PC screen via a maximum of 4 network connected projectors and enables individual mouse control from each location.
Control Pad Allows Easy Operation
EB-1400Wi is bundling a new designed Control Pad. Connecting the included Control Pad makes operation both easy and intuitive. It is also possible to connect to a printer and read data from USB memory through the control unit
An Alternative to Copyboards or Flip Boards
A new “Whiteboard” mode is installed in EB-1400Wi. One simple press of button on control pad can switch the projection screen to a whiteboard. Whiteboard mode allows you to output the meeting results on-site in the user’s preferred format. This wasn’t possible before with analog, but digital technology allows us to share information smartly.
Time to perform tasks such as saving meeting data to PDF (on USB memory, Network), sending email, printing, and making meeting minutes has been shortened considerably.
There is no need to worry about running out of space when writing meeting notes or importing information as with a conventional whiteboard. It’s possible to add up to 50 pages. The installed whiteboard mode uses an intuitive toolbar design that makes it easy for anyone to write, save, import, and even print. Comes pre-installed with 10 practical templates to make use of, it’s also possible to create and install your own templates to suit your particular needs.
